AÇÕES PARABÓLICAS E AÇÕES DE ALINHAMENTO FÍSICO- ESPIRITUAL: PROPOSTA DE DIFERENCIAÇÃO

Resumo

Parábolas e ações parabólicas são duas formas de ensino muito empregadas por Jesus. As parábolas foram utilizadas para traduzir realidades espirituais profundas que não poderiam ser bem compreendidas pelos ouvintes se não fosse por meio de uma analogia com uma situação da vida rotineira. As ações parabólicas, por sua vez, foram encenações dramatizadas de histórias que configuram, em si mesmas, a própria lição que se pretendia ensinar. No primeiro caso há uma história propriamente dita, ou seja, um fluxo narrativo metafórico, enquanto, no segundo, nada era narrado, pois a própria ação já era o ensino. Muitas ações de Jesus consideradas como parabólicas traduzem espanto por parte do leitor porque são bastante dissociadas dos ensinos que foram por ele usualmente apresentados. Nesse rol estão a alteração do nome de Pedro, a maldição lançada contra a figueira estéril e a restauração de Pedro após ter negado o Cristo por três vezes. O que há de comum entre estas três passagens e dentre tantas outras que constam do relato bíblico, além da estranheza, é a falta de clareza sobre a lição subjacente ao ato. É possível, por isso, que elas não sejam, verdadeiramente, ações parabólicas propriamente ditas, mas ações que, nesse trabalho, são definidas como de “alinhamento físico-espiritual”. Devem ser assim compreendidas todas as ações de Jesus que tinham por finalidade gerar efeitos no âmbito espiritual em razão de uma situação presente no mundo físico. Jesus, basicamente, promovia, por meio de uma ação no âmbito material, uma alteração necessária na seara imaterial. O estudo propõe indagar se essas três ações realmente seriam precipuamente parabólicas e, para isso, ele é divido em três partes. Na primeira a atenção esteve voltada à definição e à sucinta análise das parábolas e das ações parabólicas. Na segunda, adentrou-se especificamente na análise das ações de alinhamento físico-espiritual, naturalmente precedida de breves apontamentos sobre a relação entre essas duas dimensões. O artigo foi finalizado com considerações finais. O procedimento técnico utilizado foi o bibliográfico, pois foram separados materiais técnicos sobre as parábolas, as ações parabólicas e o mundo espiritual. A abordagem foi meramente qualitativa, ou seja, não houve pesquisas de campo ou outras análises quantitativas. A tipologia foi explicativa porque abordou-se uma problemática e pretendeu-se respondê-la; foi hermenêutica por ser necessário interpretar os temas ligados ao estudo; e, por fim, dissertativa porque buscou-se, com um texto argumentativo e expositivo, apresentar ao leitor o ponto de vista do autor.

Parabolic Actions and Physical-Spiritual Alignment Actions: a proposal for Differentiation

Abstract: Parables and parabolic actions are two forms of teaching widely employed by Jesus. Parables were used to convey profound spiritual truths that would not be easily understood by the audience without an analogy grounded in everyday life situations. Parabolic actions, on the other hand, were dramatized enactments of stories, where the action itself conveyed the intended lesson. In the former, a narrative structure is present - offering a metaphorical storyline - whereas in the latter, no narrative flow exists, as the act itself serves as the teaching. Many of Jesus’ actions regarded as parabolic evoke a sense of astonishment among readers because they seem disconnected from the teachings he usually presented. Among these are the renaming of Peter, the curse upon the barren fig tree, and Peter’s restoration after denying Christ three times. What these three events—and others in the biblical narrative—have in common, besides their enigmatic nature, is the lack of clarity regarding the underlying lesson within the act. It is possible, therefore, that these events are not, strictly speaking, parabolic actions but rather what this study defines as “physical-spiritual alignment actions.” These are actions intended to produce spiritual effects through the resolution of a physical situation. Essentially, Jesus employed material actions to bring about necessary changes in the spiritual realm. This study seeks to determine whether these three actions are primarily parabolic or not. It is divided into three sections. The first section offers a concise definition and analysis of parables and parabolic actions. The second section focuses on the concept of physical-spiritual alignment actions, preceded by brief considerations on the relationship between the physical and spiritual dimensions. The article concludes with final remarks. The research method employed is bibliographic, drawing on technical sources regarding parables, parabolic actions, and the spiritual realm. The approach is purely qualitative, as no field research or quantitative analysis is conducted. The typology is explanatory, as it addresses a specific problem and seeks to answer it. It is also hermeneutical, given the need to interpret themes related to the study, and argumentative- expository, aiming to present the author’s perspective to the reader.
