Liderança servidora: uma resposta à crise de liderança no século XXI

Resumo

Há uma grande diferença entre liderança e gerência ou chefia. Liderança é a arte de influenciar pessoas. Os gerentes se ocupam com tarefas e sistemas. Hoje há uma crise de liderança. Há um clamor por verdadeiros líderes. Vemos muitos líderes orgulhosos e egoístas, que só querem promover-se a si mesmos. É mais fácil dar ordens aos outros e buscar a autossatisfação, em vez de promover o grupo. A proposta deste trabalho é discutir o tema liderança servidora, a qual se expressa através do amor e requer a humildade. O líder servo precisa ter disposição de servir os outros e promover seus liderados. Ele dá exemplo e não apenas manda fazer. Seu maior herói é Jesus Cristo, que ensinou e vivenciou a liderança servidora.

Servant leadership as response to leadership crisis in the twenty-first century

ABSTRACT: There is a big difference between leadership and management or headship. Leadership is the art of influencing people. Managers are concerned with tasks and systems. Today there is a crisis concerning leadership. There is a clamor for true leaders. We see many leaders proud and selfish, who only want to promote themselves. It is easier to give orders to others and seek self-satisfaction, rather than promoting the group. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the theme of servant leadership, which is expressed through love and requires humility. The servant leader must be willing to serve others and promote their subordinates. He gives an example, not just order to do.
